In her début YA novel Pivotal Moments, Trinity Hanrahan captures the frustrating life lived in the high school social circles. She does a brilliant job addressing self-image, self-esteem, social hierarchies, and young love. She truly brings to life Aislinn, a high school senior who has experienced her fair share of bullying, body image issues, and desperate need to move onto college. Her love interest, Teagan, while older, breathes life into the unhappy senior. Hanrahan captures the beauty of young love and the right of passage through of falling for someone deeply. A wonderful read, and the beauty continues with her release of Decisive Moments September 6, 2016.
