Luna Lopez Delivers all the Feels in Her Debut!

Kira and Yasmeen’s story is one of so many who aren’t sure how to express themselves in a world still founded on customs, rituals, and old world views. They navigate the waters with heartfelt determination despite the unknown.

Luna Lopez debuts this F/F novel with tremendous strength and fortitude on a subject which still raises the hairs of the traditional and resonates with the new. She develops the plot through sound characterization and strength in theme. She brings on all the feels and there won’t be a dry in the house by the last drying ink penned by Lopez. She’s an author worth keeping your eye on in the future.

Holland’s Poems Touch the Human Condition and More!

Rev. Rebecca Holland reaches new heights with love, life, regret, and more in her first publication Through My Good Eye: A Memoir in Verse. She allows her poems to sing the song to the unsung heroes in family, feminism, and faith. Through the gift of diverse poetic style, she shows the growth she made along her path as a woman held in her youth by cultural constraints as well as genetic ones. The best part of her penned ink is it weaves in her savior but does not push her beliefs onto others, but allows for the freedoms of belief we all carry upon our own shoulders. A quick beautiful read entwined with the human condition and the perfect savior for the artist behind the words.

Michaelson Finishes His Invitations with a Splash!

Zane Michelson has a knack for twisting the plot and leaving you waiting for the next release. However, each sweet taste of mystery and thrill is laced with a bit of bittersweetness which makes it well worth the read. The By Invitation Only Series follows the lives of Cammie, Zander, and Jensen through a cat and mouse style chess game. It’s filled with deceit, in the most solicitous of ways, denial, with regards to fallen trust, and of course, it wouldn’t be complete without betrayal at the cost of unconditional love. Michaelson creates the trifecta in Cammie, Zander, and Jensen with just the right amount of sex, thrill, and suspense mixed in ingredients.

Belle Brooks is Always Together!

Belle Brooks is the picture perfect jack of all trades author. She’s penned romantic heartbreak, soul-searching drama, psycho mind-bending thrillers, children’s self-esteem builders, and now young adult prose. She is willing to take that leap and put her best foot forward, which is a mighty fine set of shoes got working in her favor.

In her latest release, Miss Not Together, Brooks tackles the harsh realities of turning from girl to woman, innocence to maturity, and young love’s confusion into a sweet tale of growth and admiration for the human condition. In Hilary and Grayson she knocks out each end of the teen growth cycle. One paved in innocence and buried in her school to work to avoid growing up, while the other faces survival after tragedy and despair to keep his family going. Grayson is by no means the boy from the wrong side of the tracks, but circumstances leave him in a place where protecting what’s sacred for his family leaves him in a bind.

Hilary unravels through the leap from childhood to adulthood as she deals with her own feelings about her parents, her school, her peers, and her new frenemy relationship with Grayson. Brooks tackles these issues with a dash of humor, a splash of tears, and a pinch of realism which truly suits the genre. Bravo on a job well done with the YA genre and the issues which keep teens not so together!

Meet Hilary Watts: pretty, straight A-student, teachers’ pet, goody two-shoes, totally has it all together—and has never been kissed, or even had a boyfriend for that matter.

Meet Grayson Dymicks: badarse persona, new guy in school, just moved in next door, volatile—and a total jerk.

When Hilary finds herself attracted to the very person she shouldn’t be, she never imagines all her well-placed Jenga blocks will come crashing down—or that her first ever kiss will be with a boy every girl in school wants for themselves.

Hilary’s life is turned upside down and she realises she’s not as put together as she thought. Instead, she’s as totally messed up as all the other teenage girls her age—but is this a romance destined for a happily ever after or a broken heart?

CM Genovese MC Series and More!

CM Genovese, where does one start? He’s an author who understands the depth of character development and how it moves the plot along as well as suspense and conflict. He also creates a society where the laws are loose, but the judge and juries are decided by the underworlds who rule it.  He challenges the traditional and sorts out the outlaws or rather presiding justice of the outlaws.

Calm’s Storm, the title alone exudes the motif at hand. An adjective which possesses a noun is cleaver and truthful. He does the same with the prequel, Anger’s Fear. Genius! The titles exude a sophistication which traditionally is not seen in many works. He not only breathes life into the titles, but he also hits the literary home run with them.

Link and Tesla’s unique relationship presents a paradox of sorts. Link exemplifies confidence with all that his lawless, restless, and unrefined behaviors. While Tesla shows promise, purity in an unpure society, and freedom. Their ties create a bond which holds the glue together for the MC, but is it strong enough when you throw in a cult, runaways, and a plethora of business deals which could be powder kegs with one misstep? The brilliance in CM Genovese’s details and infusion of literary tricks makes this a read not worth missing!

About the Author:

Love is not always patient. Love is not always kind. It cuts deep, and it scars. It sometimes hardens a fragile heart. CM Genovese spins sexy tales that pair bad boy alpha males with tough, wild, and feisty women. Both with quick tongues and fiery tempers. Neither with a hint of inhibition. Real romance doesn’t take place on rose petals. It happens on the hood of a car. This is romance in the raw.
Under the pen name Chris Genovese, I write romantic books that aren’t quite as dark. Under the pen name Carver Pike, I write horror and dark fantasy. So, CM Genovese is right in the middle. It’s edgy, gritty romance.

LJ Shen and her bad boys!

Brilliant, sexy, jaded, inspired are the first words that come to mind when I think about The Kiss Thief. This started as the dark underpinnings of the God Father and twisted to Brave then morphed into Beauty and the Beast before my eyes. In Shen fashion, emotions of anger and bitterness bubble within at the cruel rules of a particular underworld with ideologies which serve their own purpose; These are equally balanced with dreams, desires, and destiny. The mindset and standards by which Shen holds each of her characters to are beyond words for me to pen. The Kiss Thief is going to be a hard read to beat in 2019!

Drew Sera’s Fragile

Drew Sera touched my weak point when she titled her prose work Fragile, and the multiple meanings behind the single word drove home the dynamic characterization of Sydney, Colin, and Anthony. The intricate dance between dominant and submissive and trainer to lover is delicately woven between the pages of this prose. Sera drives home the idea of human nature and the innate desire to seek security and care from trusted sources. She opens the doors to vulnerability and the search for security and safety in a world which throws most to the wolves. The dom and sub relationship is then sewn into the fabric of how the BDSM world draws order and rules to the otherwise less chaotic structures of the real world. For Sydney, Colin, and Anthony this twists a bit as the human heart slithers into the formula, and they soon find themselves in a position which could rock their orderly agreement and make or break their hearts.

For all those who understand how fragile the line is between chaos and order, love and heartbreak, acceptance and rejection and all those connections in between, Sera hits on them all and then leaves the reader needing more. For my first introduction to Sera, it taught me a lesson or two and now has me ready to push forward to more of her penned works.

A.M Johnson’s Let There be Light

A.M Johnson captured me with the Avenues Ink series. The stories of the O’Connell brothers and their path to life, love, and happiness warmed my heart and soul on more than a good plot level. A.M. Johnson captured the themes of each brother from mental illness in Possession to turning a cheek to the cloth in Poet, and in the middle, she squeezes in a little fairy tale of sorts with Kingdom.

However, in Let There be Light, Johnson tackles a coming of age and sexual orientation plot which brings with it a plethora of deeper thematic ideas. Royal is one of the off to college teens in the O’Connell bloodline.  His parents share the love of a lifetime, and his twin sister is his closest confidant. He craves the love he’s grown up surrounded by in his parents and aunts and uncles, but nothing has come across his path to warrant a declaration of love and commitment as he heads off to college.

He’s dated one girl, but they were good friends. The connection was sweet but not everlasting. Leave it to fate when Royal finds the one. The one who makes his heart beat in a way which opens his world to a new set of notes; a color spread which brightens his world. While he was brought up to believe love is love, the world is not as open minded as the arms which welcome him in and make his life whole.

Johnson tackles the elephant in the room and slays the beast when she pens the words behind the story of Royal and Camden. She nailed the stigmas, the societal norms, the judgements, the self-analysis, and more when she danced across each word, each note, and each beat of the best love story of the year thus far. This is the one that captured my soul as a lover, a mother, and a believer that love is the light that guides us all in the end.

Avenues in Ink Series:

Possession, Kingdom, and Poet

Game of Life: Will the Wolf Win?

Morgan and her husband struggle from the typical rut of career and parenthood. Morgan’s difficulty comes when her boss leaves her no choice but to work overtime much to the dismay of her husband. He’s played the part of both parents too long, and he’s not happy about it. But everything is about to change when Morgan encounters the Wolf. He’s out for blood, and she’s caught in his trap. Will she survive and be back in her husband’s arms ready to live again with her family or will the Wolf triumph?

Belle Brooks talents continue to morph over time and her diversity of genre only build her portfolio stronger every time she releases a new work.  Her dedication to the craft of writing her characters explodes over the pages she pens. I read this series as each novella released over several months. Now, I’ve reread it again, and the masterful mind of Brooks stands the test of time throughout the pages of this psychological thriller. She not only tests the dynamics of the will to survive, but she tests the strength of unconditional love, forgiveness, and the never-ending circle of life. If you love a good thriller, Game of Life is in one read worth picking up!

Chris Genovese: Expect the Unexpected!

Chris Genovese takes HOA associations and sexual appetites to a whole new level. He challenges traditional sexuality and bolsters a whole new plater of thought dealing with sexual freedom. The evolution of needing to belong to a community, no matter the risks and rules makes E. Mayberry the neighborhood which appeals to the those who did not come from the Beaver Cleaver style upbringings. It plays well into societal vulnerabilities. In the tradition of Shirley Jackson’s “The Lottery” or Richard Connell’s “A Most Dangerous Game,” the Harvest Festival appears to be one thing but turns out to be another.

Genovese has a gift in showing a story and weaving in the deeper themes in a subtle manner. The satirical side of E. Mayberry is fantastic, juxtaposed to Andy Griffith’s version, which also jabs at everything not being what it seemed in even the most traditional of neighborhoods. Now, I could totally be nerding it up here and reading way to much into this, but Genovese digs beyond the erotica and delivers the total package of voice, plot twists, character development, and a touch of Hitchcock all in one fabulous prose work!

Author Bio for Chris Genovese:

Chris Genovese is a romance author. Okay…naughty and wild romance but still romance…why am I writing this in third person? I’m talking about me! How egotistical am I? Geez.

I’m just an average guy. I’m a father of four, a devoted husband, and I absolutely love and cherish my readers, fans, and friends. When I’m not busy having writers’ ADD, meaning I can’t stay focused on one story idea

Author Bio for Carver Pike (Genovese’s dark alter ego!)

Carver Pike is the darker, more twisted alter ego of erotica writer Chris Genovese. Where Chris tends to write erotic comedies, poetry, and other fun but sexy tales, Carver likes to stick a knife in it and wiggle it around. If you’re looking for horror and dark fantasy with an erotic twist, you’ve come to the right man. Who knew scary could be so sexy?
